Campaign Kicks-Off in
In today’s increasingly digital world, cybersecurity threats are becoming more sophisticated and frequent, leaving organizations of all sizes vulnerable to cyber-attacks.
The SBA report states that 88% of small businesses feel vulnerable to cyber threats. Many SMEs lack the financial capability to invest in cybersecurity, and 60% of them go out of business within six months of a cyberattack.
CyberPeace institutes in a report about cybersecurity and non-profits said 86% of non-profit organizations (including NGOs and CSOs) do not have adequate cybersecurity policies and lack the resources to prioritize cybersecurity, despite handling sensitive data. It emphasizes the critical need for affordable and accessible cybersecurity solutions for this sector.
While large corporations often have the resources to invest in advanced cybersecurity training and tools, many NGOs, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) struggle to afford quality cybersecurity training and assessments. This lack of preparedness can leave these organizations exposed, endangering not just their operations, but the sensitive data of the communities they serve.
SabiCyber4ORG aims to bridge this gap by providing free, high-quality cybersecurity training, simulation exercises tailored to the specific needs and Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing of NGOs, CSOs, and SMEs. The goal is to improve the human element of their cybersecurity defences, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect their digital infrastructure from cyber threats and also access the organisation’s cybersecurity posture.
+To equip NGOs, CSOs, and SMEs with the essential knowledge and skills required to improve their cybersecurity posture, enabling them to effectively recognize and mitigate cyber threats.
+To reduce the risk of phishing attacks by conducting simulated phishing exercises, helping organizations improve employee vigilance.
+To conduct Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing (VAPT) exercises that will reveal weaknesses in the organizations’ IT infrastructure and provide actionable steps to secure these vulnerabilities.
+To foster a security-conscious mindset across all levels of participating organizations, ensuring that cybersecurity is prioritized as a critical element of their operations and risk management strategies.
The primary focus is the NGOs, SMEs and CSOs. These groups are typically under-resourced in terms of cybersecurity expertise but hold critical information and assets that need protection. SabiCyber4ORG seeks to address this gap by providing them with accessible, high-quality cybersecurity services.
We provide a one-day training session (either online or in-person) designed to give participants an in-depth understanding of essential cybersecurity concepts, threat identification, risk management, and best practices for protecting their organisations. The training is interactive, combining theory with real-world scenarios, ensuring that attendees can apply what they’ve learned directly to their organizations.
Phishing remains one of the most common and effective methods used by cybercriminals to breach organizations. To help organizations better defend against these attacks, we conduct a phishing simulation exercise. This exercise tests employees’ ability to recognize and respond to phishing attempts, offering valuable insights into potential vulnerabilities. The results are followed by targeted training to improve awareness and responsiveness to such threats.
To further enhance the security posture of participating organizations, SabiCyber4ORG offers a VAPT exercise. This involves a thorough evaluation of the organization’s systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities through vulnerability scanning, and attempting to exploit those vulnerabilities to assess the organization’s defenses. This testing mimics real-world attack scenarios, allowing the organization to identify and fix critical weaknesses before they can be exploited by malicious actors.
Each participating organization will undergo an assessment of its current cybersecurity posture. This evaluation will identify gaps and areas for improvement, offering tailored recommendations to strengthen defenses. The assessment ensures that the training is not just generic but is aligned with the organization’s specific needs and challenges.
In addition to the training and simulation exercises, SabiCyber4ORG offers ongoing support by providing access to cybersecurity resources, guides, and tools that organizations can use to maintain their cybersecurity posture. We also offer follow-up sessions to ensure the implementation of learned strategies and further improvements over time.
Through SabiCyber4ORG, NGOs, CSOs, and SMEs can significantly improve their resilience against cyber threats without breaking the bank. The initiative empowers these organizations to protect their digital infrastructure, secure sensitive data, and preserve the trust of their stakeholders. By making cybersecurity accessible, we aim to create a safer, more secure digital landscape for all.
